can we all just agree that dressing up is more fun when there are housemates to give you advice?

i miss the flora.

also alan, although there was considerably less clothes-sharing with him.

I've never had a roommate that dresses as well as I do for the same type event. I mean, I love casual clothes and wear them most of the time (except when working, when I wear work clothes), but if the occasion might call for some class, I'm more likely to wear nicer things than all of my previous roommates, including one girl... so I'd be hestitant to take their advice.

but it's not really about feeling wardrobely superior to the mates, it's more about having a person who you like to give you advice.

and as it turned out, there were two such people! (maybe two and a half—alan turned up after all the decisions were made and was able to affirm the choice) and i ended up with a good set of clothes. yes!

I understand the idea, but I can't think of anyone I know that I'd ask for dressing advice from. I ask for all sorts of advice for other things from anyone I think may have a good opinion.. but I've always had a good sense of style. :)
