can we all just agree that sometimes, the dad is unreasonably cagey?

while chatting last night:

dad: "ah, yeah, i'll be gone for about three weeks in june."
me: "whoa! where are you going?"
dad: "oh, i'm going to go look at new hampshire."
me: "um, okay."
...[silence]...
